Book review about the Princess Diaries..
Have you ever wished to be a handsome prince, or a beautiful princess? I think all of us at least once have thought about this when we were young. In this book, is about a young normal lady, one day finds out that she was a princess. If you want to know about how a normal girl became a princess, I strongly recommend you to read this book!!
This story begins with a normal girl, going to high school in Sanfransisco. Mia Thermopolis is her name. Mia has no parents but her mother Helen Thermopolis. Mia's best friend is Lily Moscovitz, and her brother Michael Moscovitz. Anyway, as all normal girls do, Mia has a crush on a boy called Josh Briant. However, because Mia is a normal(or maybe less than normal) student, Josh doesn't care about her. This was Mia's school life. One day, Mia's grandmother came to visit her. Mia never knew this would change her life for the rest of her life. This fine day, her grandmother comes and says that she is a QUEEN of a small country in Europe called Genovia. This means, Mia is a PRINCESS of Genovia! At first, Mia couldn't believe this. However, she learns princess lessons(like how to act like a noble). All the looks and clothings, and all the other stuff(just say Mia) has changed 100%!! At the first few days, her friends doesn't notice that Mia is a princess. However, because someone told the media that Mia is a princess, Mia becomes popular, and no one treats Mia as the way they used to. The most huge difference is Josh asked Mia to go to the Beach Party. The problem here is Mia made a promise with Michael first, and blew it because of Josh. Mia thougth whe would have a good time with Josh, but it was only her hope. After the beach party, Mia notices that Josh only noticed her just because she is a princess. Mia feels sorry for Michael, and wants to refuse her throne from her grandmother. She tries to escape. Then she gets a present from her father who is dead. The present he gave is a DIARY. Mia changes her mind at last, and makes a wonderful speech which is truely compared to her which wasn't good at debate.
This movie is filmed my Garry Marshal, and I really enjoyed watching this movie. Sometimes, it was like a comedy, and other times it was like a real thing which can happen. What I mean by this is that I thought this movie, can happen in real life. Also, this movie contains a lesson which even though your role is a very beneficial role, you still have responsibility for that. There is no role which has no responsibilities. I also thought this movie is a great movie because it contains a lesson while, it contains some comedies which is a little part of the lesson here which is RESPONSIBLE.
Mia is now going to high school, and she knows that she is a princess. What do you think is Mia's solution for she becoming a princess? Also, what do you think will happen to Mia from now? I suggest you to think about this. It'll also be fun imagining about your future. Who knows one day you'll be a princess like Mia?...
